Love Letters

Gavin received a letter last week from a (girl) friend at school. I think I am going to tell the Kindergarten teacher that it may be time to introduce the silent /e/ causing the long vowel sound. I am pretty sure this Kindergartener needs some spelling help. LET'S HOPE SO ANYWAY!

Happy Valentine's Day!

  1. After this and June Cleaver Nirvans's post today, I can't WAIT for Dylan to start writing.

Did she lick him, or is that frowned upon?

  4. How do you know that she did not actually mean lick?! With kindergarteners you never know.

  8. That is really funny. The phonics education seems to be at a snails pace at my house too.

  10. I would love to get a note from a girl these days that says she wants to lick me. Actually it would have been nice to get more than 2 cards this year (1 from Mom and 1 from Grandma). Ah, such is the life of a single Dad.

  11. Jack got one of these too. It said, "I'm sorry. I lick you. Do you still lick me?" This was from the girl that was so domineering that Jack felt the need to eat grass on the playground to escape her.
