Losing a tooth

Gavin lost his first tooth last Friday. Each of my boys reacted differently.

It's hard to be the younger brother sometimes. Also, please excuse the mess. I had been busy blogging doing laundry all day.

KEEP BELIEVING

  3. Oh, Angie, I am sitting here rolling! We have been going through this same scenario for over two years with Luke. He is so upset that he still has not lost one tooth, meanwhile, his big sister has lost a ton and gotten countless fun things from the tooth fairy!

Being the younger one is just devestating sometimes! Thanks for sharing that video, it is just darling!

(and Gavin says the word "out" like he still lives in Canada!!)

  4. So funny! My guys are both so different too. My little one has been wiggling his teeth for a year in hopes that one of them will fall out!

Hope you have a great weekend!

  5. Poor little guy. How many boogers did he leave on your hip? Yeah, Gavin! We so got in trouble with other parents at school for the $5.00 Jack got for his first tooth. And the $2.00 Luke got cause he was sleeping in Jack's room that night.

  7. that was sooo cute! we just went through that w/ the 2 youngest girls. they are 13 months apart and for some reason the youngest lost hers before her older sister. oldest sister was so bummed!! she'd sit for hours(not really, but it felt like it) wiggling a tooth that just wouldn't loosen!! : )

  8. AWWWWWW! Poor Grant! It sucks right now to be the younger one, but someday it will come in handy to be the baby of the family. It so reminds me of Kurt and Luke being jealous of Rebecca's tooth losing abilities. They are wiggling teeth that they swear are loose thet they won't lose for years! (I couldn't help but notice that I have the third Luke so far in your comment section!)

  9. Oh my gosh, this was hilarious. I love how responsible and serious Gavin is about his tooth coming out...and then Grant's dramatic fleeing upstairs.

The best part was you persisting, following him upstairs with the camera and into the closet. I was laughing so hard. Poor little guy.

Awesome post! Nice to meet you, btw, I found you through your comment on All Things BD's site.

  11. Neing the oldest has pluses and minuses and same for younger one. No matter what I did it was NEVER equal enough for my younger son. He has survived to 17 years old so I refuse to worry.

How are you holding up miss caretaker of everyone? Don't forget to take care of yourself physically and spiritually!!!!

  12. What! You do laundry? What's that?

Congrats on the tooth! It is very tiny.

  13. Can I just say that I think it was hilariously sitcom-ish of him to hide in the closet? Cuz that's when I laughed the hardest!

  14. Sweet brother! Our Little Bro is terrified of losing his teeth after watching Big Sis pull hers.
You're such a great mom, Angie!

Our houses could be long lost twins....'cept mine is a white trash version. ;-)

  15. Hi, I just wandered into your blog while browsing and that video is hilarious. I love that you just chase your son through the house in order to film his reaction. All for the name of a good blog right!?! Good stuff!

  16. Aw poor thing! My 3 year old daughter has an older friend that has lost a couple of teeth so now Sarah keeps insisting that her teeth are loose!

    Thanks for sharing the video!

  17. What a couple of cuties!

Oh that brings back long burried memories! If we'd had a video camera, that could have been Twig throwing the same fit. LOL! Watch him, though. He may start actively wiggling a tooth just to make it happen sooner.

  18. Umm yea, you call THAT a mess? :)

What total and complete sweethearts. I just love that innocence in kids!

  19. OMG. You and I share the same home. Except you have more laundry done. I loved the drama of the boy who didn't lose a tooth. Yep. So familiar. What a fun video.

  21. awww how cute! And aww.. poor little guy. I was raised an only child so I didn't really feel left out at all unless I couldn't participate in an adult activity or something of the sort. These videos are going to be classics later when they grow up. Embarass them in front of the girlfriends/wives! ;-)

  22. Angie, I think you already know this, but your boys are CARBON COPIES of RJ and John. I mean, to a tee. except of course that John doesn't suck his thumb. Instead he still wets his pants. Ahhh parenting joys....

oh, ps, we tell our kids that they can leave a tooth for the tooth fairy but if they give it to us we'll give them more money. They always just give it to us. It's nice because we can just keep the teeth around and show 'em to the kids later!
