Dear God.
As you know, I question You a lot. My most often asked question is WHY! Why me? Why Brian? Why cancer? Why his speech? Why his RIGHT side? Why his brain? Why? Why? Why? I am reminded that you are all-powerful and all-knowing and I have no earthly idea what is going on in Heaven or the Spiritual realm. I take comfort in that when my earthly WHY's are not answered. Today, however, I have a HOW question.
How is it that you can make this
turn into this beauty in mere weeks,
Yet SMELL SO AWFUL!
For those of you who are not familiar, let's just say Bradford Pears and best admired from afar.
KEEP BELIEVING
He sure keeps us wondering sometimes. I hope the beauty out weighs the odor! =) Have a great Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWow - it is gorgeous - I can't imagine it smelling bad but I'll take your word for it...
ReplyDeleteI think God just has a goofy sense of humor at times :)
ReplyDeleteWe have those at the elemenatary school--they are truly vile smelling!
ReplyDeleteooh is that YOUR pear tree? I am so jealous!!! DO you get pears? If so I have this awesome recipe for pear honey that you make out of just pears, pineapple juice, and sugar. It has the consistency and taste of honey, but it has a sweet fruity taste too. It is YUMMY! Let me know if you're interested!
ReplyDeleteBut that weird gardener guy on HGTV always talks about those and never told me they stink...jerk.
ReplyDeletePretty pictures!
Wow, beautiful tree...lousy smell, huh? I feel the same way about our Wisteria in the back yard. PU!
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for your last post...it got me up off of my...ahem...and got the house cleaned BEFORE the weekend!
Joy, Joy!
Still praying, keep us posted.
Is tomorrow chemo day?
Blessings and Peace, EJT
That is so funny. Beautiful, but stinky.
ReplyDeleteThat is another beautiful of God's seemingly warped sense of humor. LOL! But it's also a reminder that there is beauty in even the stinkiest situations... ya just gotta stand back and look at the bigger picture. ;o)
ReplyDeleteYour pear tree is beautiful, even if it is stinky!
ReplyDeleteGreat question! I have often wondered that myself! Let me know if the big guy gets back to you on that one!
ReplyDeleteIt really IS A beautiful tree!! But you're right... WHY do they smell so fowl? ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI am CRYING with laughter over here.. I just said this on Friday to my mom.. hahahahahah.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pictures though Angie..beautiful
Yes, they are quite stinky, aren't they? We have two of them.
ReplyDeletevery funny! i was admiring the tree pix until i came to the stinky part! now i'm not so sure i want one after all. maybe i'll just buy a picture and hang it on my wall!! = 0
ReplyDeleteAh yes. I won't tell you what we call those little devil trees here in Arizona. But I can tell you that it's not appropriate to say at church, as the title inspires thoughts of things that only go on in the bedroom... And worst of all, our entire church campus is filled with these things... but they're so beautiful. Lucky you. Sort of.
