Not much

I don’t have a lot to say. I have about 5 posts in my head but everytime I sit to write them, they all jumble together and end up being ridiculous. My kids haven’t done or said much funny that I can share or that I remember lately. I already updated on how Brian is doing, except I did forget to mention that he is also suffering from canchor sores in his mouth – another lovely chemo side effect. This is despite the special mouthwashes we have purchased which are supposed to help in alleviating this problem. I already told you about my new priorities. I have little else to say. I have so little to say that I feel the need to tell you how little I have to say. And apparently all this is making me crabby because my kids have been praying for me during bedtime prayers to be a nicer mom tomorrow and Brian tells me a large percentage of what leaves my mouth lately is negative. I am assuming he is not referring to the mucus I am hacking from the cough that has plagued me for the last week. I guess I need to continue to refocus.

KEEP BELIEVING

  1. Angie - when the day is over, I usually rate how good/bad a mom I've been if my throat is sore (from the yelling).

That is not a joke, sadly, but I still chuckle a little (ashamedly) to myself at what a jerk I can be to my kids sometimes. :-)

And, on the topic of saying nothing, one of my all-time favorite commercials was from years ago, for VW Jetta, with the 2 guys driving and the song "Blah Blah Blah." So excellent!

  3. All us moms can use some extra prayers - take your boys' prayers as that. Who couldn't be a better mom or anything for that matter? Don't be discouraged by your role as a Mom. Though I haven't "known" you for long - I admire you for your role as a mother and wife. Don't doubt yourself in these roles - ever!

You might get a chuckle out of the following post. I am not sure if you read this or not but I loved it. http://fromthefrontlines.blogspot.com/2008/05/blue-heart.html

I also need to tell you that your words "Keep Believing" are part of each day for me. Thank you. =)

  4. We all have weeks where we don't have anything to say... don't feel like you are obligated to write anything profound. Just that you checked in and we know you are doing ok is enough :-) Hope you and all the boys have a wonderful weekend!

Oh wow, Angie. We must be rowing different sides of the same boat.

It's alright if you have little to say.

I have about four posts in my head, too, and when I sit to write them down, they end up awful.

    Steady on, friend. Steady on.

  9. I think it is good for you to be grumpy for a little bit, but then it just will get you down. Which makes you more grumpy. Not that you don't have anything to be grumpy about...but hang in there girl. I will pray too for the grumpiness to leave you in peace.

  14. Who has not been right where you are? We all get grumpy and lose our joy sometimes. It's just how life is. Some good days, some bad days. It's all a cycle. It's impossible to be super happy, funny, and perky all the time.

In the words of Forrest Gump, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."

  17. Angie, I so get this. You're previous post spoke right to my heart. I never feel THRILLED about what I post either and most days I'd rather not at all.

When in doubt. Post a picture. :)
